Okonkwo, Blessing Onyinye (Nee Obidume) is an ardent lover of nature and an enthusisastic professional, a Pharmacist by training. Being an ardent lover of nature, she plans exploring nature for the benefit of man in the area of healthcare. She is currently a postgraduate student (PhD) of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Onyinye obtained a Bachelour of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) Hons Degree in 2011 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria, with Distinction in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry while she obtained her secondary school certificate from Special Science School, Abagana. Her research interest is in phytochemistry, ranging from ethnomedicinal information to isolation and characterization of bioactive secondary metabolites of plant origin as well as production and standardization of natural food turned medicine. Currently she is working on “Pharmacognostic evaluation and anti-urease bacteria activity of Harungana madagascariensis fruit” Onyinye worked briefly as a superintendent Pharmacist, but her love to make impact on younger students and disruptive innovations in medical/pharmaceutical education redirected her step. She is a good team player, and possess excellent interpersonal skill. |
