Biography: | Charles C. Anukwonke is a renowned environmental manager with an exemplary track record in teaching, research, and consulting. He is adept at developing, coordinating, and implementing environmental management systems and has authored numerous Environmental Impact Assessment reports, conducted Environmental Audits, and championed Environmental Sustainability Initiatives. His extensive experience includes formulating environmental sustainability strategies and collecting field data on air, water, soil, and sediments, reinforcing his reputation as an EIA expert. A First-Class graduate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), C. C. Anukwonke has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic and professional prowess, leaving an indelible mark on the Department of Environmental Management. His journey began at the University of Jos as a graduate assistant in the Department of Geography and Planning, where he laid the foundation for his academic career. Subsequently, he became the pioneer First Class graduate to be retained as an academic in COOU’s Department of Environmental Management, where he has excelled as a researcher, lecturer, and consultant. With a decade of academic experience, C. C. Anukwonke has contributed significantly to the field of environmental management, particularly in water and soil analysis, climate change, environmental economics, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). He is a registered manager and an esteemed member of the Association for Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria (MAEIAN), Nigerian Institute of Management, (NIM) and Member Nigerian Environmental Society (MNES). His proficiency in ICT and research aptitude has earned him recognition as a top-notch expert in his field. His published works span journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, both locally and internationally, showcasing his contributions to the global environmental discourse. Charles’s commitment to environmental sustainability is matched by his passion for climate mitigation.
