Biography: | Professor Cyril Ogugua Obi is a distinguished scholar and educator in the Department of Economics at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, Master of Science degree in Economics, Master of Business Administration degree, and a Ph.D. in banking and Finance, with a specialization in Monetary and Development Economics. Professor Obi has co-authored some economics textbooks and has published over 40 articles in both international and local journals. In addition to his academic achievements, Professor Obi has held various leadership positions, serving as Chairman and member of numerous committees at the departmental, faculty, and university levels. He is a fellow of the Institute of Economists Nigeria (FINEN), a fellow of the Institute of Industrial Administration (FIIA), and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NMIM). Professor Obi is married to Professor Zita Chika Obi, who is a respected scholar and educator in the Department of Educational Foundations at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. The couple is blessed with children. |
