Biography: | Prof Ndidi Okolo (nee Nwigwe) is a graduate of Architecture from the University of Nigeria (BSc Arch; MSc Arch). She also holds a Doctorate degree in Architecture (PhD Arch) from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. Her involvement in several associations are as follows: Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA); Registered member, Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON); Member, Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria (AARCHES); Member, Nigerian Association of Evaluators; International Associate of the American Institute of Architects. She is an architectural educator and has taught for several years; has had vast experience in private practice with extensive involvement in healthcare projects. Currently, a Professor at the Department of Architecture, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. She has worked in committees and held several leadership positions in professional, institutional, religious and community organizations. She has been a Chair of the Board of architectural education of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and is currently a member of the Education committee of the Architects’’ Registration Council of Nigeria. She has served as a member of several committees for professional accreditation and professional jury to several universities. She was Head, Department of Architecture (2013-2017) in the University. She is currently the Editor of the faculty journal-African Journal of Environmental Research. Her research interests are in the areas of urban environment and healthcare buildings. She has attended several national and international conferences. She is married. |
