Biography: Don U.V. Okpala is a lecturer in the department of Industrial Physics, Anambra State University now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria. He had his first degree in Physics, University of Calabar; M-Tech. Physics (Electronics option), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; P.hD. Solar Energy Physics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Post Graduate Diploma in education (PGDE), National Teachers Institute; Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management (PGD. Env), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He did his Ph.D research work on Synthesis and Characterization of Some Halides and Chalcogenide Crystals using Sol-Gel Method were he whittled down bulk African Materials into nano structures using top down approach and used them as dopants. He is the founder and former Director, Emeagwali Centre for Research, Renewable Energy and Materials Science now Centre for Research, Renewable Energy and Materials Science Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and Founder and Director, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Centre for Research and Development, Awka. He has about 49 publcations.
