| Biography: | Joseph C Umeobika hails from Anambra State of Nigeria .He read medicine at the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus. After housemanship and National Youth Service he worked as a medical officer at St Martin’s Catholic Hospital Obosi, Anambra State , Nigeria before he proceeded to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi for his post-graduate studies in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He became employed as a lecturer at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital , Awka, Anambra State , Nigeria in 2011. He acted as the Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology between 2015 and 2017. He has been an external examiner to many colleges of medicine. He is currently an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a postgraduate examiner in the faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the West African College of Surgeons. He has published many articles in reputable journals. He likes reading and listening to music especially those from ABBA. |
