Biography: He was born in Akpo on the 15:04:1979 to the family of Nze and Lolo Anthony Umenwa Ezeomedo, Umu-umeaku Kindred, Udo Village, Akpo in Aguata Local Government area, Anambra State, Nigeria. Dr Innocent Chukwukalo Ezeomedo obtained his Bachelor of Technology Degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics (B.Tech. Hons) from Federal University of Technology, Yola, (FUTY, Nigeria) (Now Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTECH), Master of Science (M.Sc) in Surveying and Geoinformatics and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Surveying and Geoinformatics with specializations in Remote Sensing and GIS both from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (NAU, Awka, Nigeria). He is an Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Environmental Management in the Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli-Campus. Dr I. C. Ezeomedo is a Registered Surveyor with Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and Member, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (MNIS), Member, Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria (APPSN), (2018 to date), Member, National Association of Surveying and Geoinformatics Lecturers (NASGL) (2020 to date) His areas of specialization includes, Land Surveying & Earth Observation, Spatial Information Sciences, Environmental Remote Sensing, Digital Mapping Techniques and GIS Applications.
He has worked in committees and held several leadership positions in professional, institutional, religious and community organizations. Within the University, Dr Innocent C. Ezeomedo has contributed enormously to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Community, Faculty of Environmental Sciences and the Department of Environmental Management in general. He was the Physical Planning Unit Representative, University Draft Estimate Committee (2008 to 2014), Secretary, University Land Committee, (2012 to Date), a Member of Event Committee in the maiden Faculty of Environmental Sciences Annual Lecture (FESCON 2014), Secretary, Faculty of Environmental Science Welfare Draft Committee (2015), Member, Department of Environmental Management Curriculum Review Committee (2015), Secretary, Departmental Board, Department of Environmental Management, COOU.(2015 to date), Field-Trip Coordinator Department of Environmental Management, Anambra State University Uli, (2015 to 2017) and also a member of Committee, for the successful planning and hosting of National University Commission (NUC) for the Department of Environmental Management Accreditation exercise in 2015 & 2022. Departmental Examination Officer (EO) (2022 to 2023). He was appointed the Chairman Logistic and protocol committee, Faculty of Environmental Sciences Annual Lecture (FESCON) 2017 & 2023), a member of committee on compliance with the academic and professional standards in teaching, learning and examinations from 2018 to date, Secretary General, Faculty of Environmental Science, 4th International Conference & Annual Lecture, (FESCON), (2023), a member, University Landscape and tree planting committee (2024) among others. His was a Consultant with the “SCOTT AMEDE CONST.COMP. NIG. LTD” at Osse Motor Seaport Project, Oguta L.G.A, Imo State (2011 to 2012). Consultant to Anambra State Branch of the Nigerian Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) for the mapping of Several Gully Erosion Sites (Ndiagu-Ikenga Ogidi, Ugamuma Obosi, Abidi Umuoji towns all in Idemili North LGA and Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State) in 2016, Nkpor Flyover, Ire-Obosi,Ojoto and Nnewichi in 2017 and Umuagu-Ufuma in Orumba North LGA (2020). 2020 to 2021 mapping Agulu gully covering Amaoji and Isiamaigbo, Nanka in Orumba North LGA covering Ifite-Nanka, Et-Nanka, Ubahu-Nanka, Amako-Nanka and Enugwu-Nanka and as well, Oko gullies which includes Eziabo-Oko, Ezi-Oko and Odo plain with project ID:P124905.2020. He is currently serving as the Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS) and COOU African Journal of Environmental Research (October, 2022 to date). Ezeomedo is a Christain and married to Mrs Perpetua Amaka Ezeomedo and they are blessed with children.
