Biography: Dr. Lady Adaobi Maryann Ibekwe was born in Agulizigbo, Anaocha L.G.A. of Anambra State. She is currently the Head of Department, Nursing Sciences, COOU.

Dr. Ada as fondly called had her formal education and training from reputable institutions, passing all prescribed examinations at every stage of her career and earned the appropriate certificates, degrees and awards including Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.Nsc.), Master of Nursing Science (M.Nsc.) and Doctor of Philosophy in Medical and Surgical Nursing.

She is currently a Senior Lecturer at CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU OJUKWU UNIVERSITY and an Adjunct Lecturer at many notable institutions.
She is affiliated to local and international professional bodies some of which are: Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN) which is the highest body of the Nursing Profession and Practice.

Dr. Adaobi Maryann Ibekwe is keenly interested in Academic, Distinctive-Lecturing, Analytical Researching, Health Care Counseling, Nursing Practice Consultancy and Child Birth Consultancy, . She has Authored and Co-Authored up to Twenty Seven (27) Research Works widely in both local and international journals in her area of expertise.

Dr. Adaobi Maryann Ibekwe has served severally as Senior Examiner at her Professional Body, the
Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN) Examination.
She has participated in numerous seminar presentation, presenting an interactive lecture in many of them.

Outside the Classroom, Dr. Lady. Adaobi Ibekwe has remained at spotlight impacting her Society in Administrative and Voluntary Expository.

Dr. Lady Adaobi Ibekwe is married to Chief. Sir P. M Ibekwe, who is a chartered accountant and former Director of Audit Department, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital,Nnewi, Anambra State. Their marriage is blessed with Six (6) brilliant children.
